Collecting Donations Online

There’s a neat new way to collect donations online for your fundraising event such as a breast cancer walk or a personal medical fundraiser.

You can use ChipIn ( https://www.chipin.com/ ) to create a “widget” that you add to your webpage about our event. The plugin works on all the popular social networking sites like MySpace as well as on regular websites.

It displays information about how much you want to raise and your progress is displayed in the familiar fundraising thermometer style.

The ChipIn site allows people to donate by credit card or PayPal and processes all the transactions for you.

Once your fundraising is complete, ChipIn will send you a check or do a direct deposit into your bank account.

It’s a great way to collect funds online!

  1. I had been wondering if your info is current. Are there better ways to raise money online than just asking for donations?
