Here’s a thought provoking article about what’s appropriate and what’s not in a fundraiser to benefit children.

Seems the Boys and Girls Club in Tuscon is holding a “Tux & Teddies” fundraising event in which the men are dressed to the nines in tuxedos while female models strut their stuff down the runway in skimpy lingerie.

I’m not sure who thought this was appropriate and whether they even considered the not so subtle message it passed on to the kids.

After noting that, to their credit, the Boys and Girls Club does sponsor an annual Girl Power! Day, the columnist poses these questions:

But what’s next, Jell-O wrestling for literacy?

A wet T-shirt contest for school clothing banks?

You have to wonder…
