I’m always on the lookout for good Relay For Life fundraisng events, so this one caught my eye.
This group has put together an unusual event, at least to a city girl like me, featuring a cow chip fundraiser. Â
It works like this: A soccer field is marked off in squares which sell for $20 each. A bull is pastured on the soccer field and that’s where the cow chips come in. Once the “chips” fall where they may, the lucky square holder wins $5,000!
While they await nature’s call, three bluegrass bands will help entertain the crowd. The organizers have even invited other relay For Life teams to have fundraising booths at the event featuring face painting, a moonwalk, a hot dog eating contest, and much more.
Definitely a great fundraising idea!
